So it begins...

Every blog needs a first post. This one is mine.

Being a 30-something Christian chick ain't easy.

I question a lot of things. Christians don't like it when you question things. Just have faith, you know.

I'm confused by some things. Christians don't like it when you are confused. Just have faith, we already TOLD you to just have faith.

I'm incredibly frustrated by things people who act like super-Christians do. I'm probably supposed to pray for them or something.

For background purposes: I'm a heterosexual, married mother. I go to church on Sundays and I go to a church-sponsored women's group on Wednesdays. (Not a Bible study. Not a structured small group. Traditional Christians would probably just call it fellowship.) We live in the South. With a capital-S.

I can be sarcastic. I'll probably step on some toes. I'm not afraid to be critical, but I aim for my criticism to be constructive. For the most part. Sometimes I'm just straight-up judgmental, and I own that.

I just need to vent. To try to process. To figure out if there's really a place in the modern church for someone like me. You're welcome to watch this play out. I'd love to hear your opinions on whatever topic I post about. My skin is pretty thick.
